NTL 2022 – Updated Men’s, Women’s Mixed Trials

Sydney Scorpions updated trial information for their Men’s Open/20’s, Women’s Open/20’s and Mixed Open divisions for the 2022 National Touch League can now be found below. With the recent postponement of the NSWTA Senior State Cup and based on the current uncertainty for many participants, trials below will be used initially for TalentID purposes as this will no longer be possible at State Cup. At the appropriate time, should it be required, Scorpions will reconfirm with players if they are still available for selection and intend on playing NTL. Teams will then be finalised based on this updated information whilst utilising TalentID obtained at trials. All players that wish to be considered for selection at this current point in time should complete the updated EOI trial forms below by 5pm Wednesday 1 December. All players over 16 years of age will need to show proof of double vaccination in order to trial. Further information via email@sydneyscorpions or Messenger.

NTL 2022 Open & 20’s EOI & Trial Info

Players are requested to complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) form in relation to Sydney Scorpions NTL 2022 campaign for the following divisions: Men’s Open, Men’s 20’s Women’s Open, Women’s 20’s, Mixed Open. Due to interruptions in both the NYC and international program over the past two years, Touch Football Australia (TFA) are offering the Men’s and Women’s 20’s divisions at NTL 2022. At this stage Scorpions are sourcing EOI and will determine how many teams are sent and in which divisions based on a number of factors.

Due to the shortened affiliate representative season NTL regional trials will not take place until after Senior State Cup, with trial dates and further information provided within the EOI form.

Mixed Open initial squad will be determined by EOI with squad training to commence in January, from which the final team will be selected. As such there is no Mixed Open trial during December 2021. Players that miss out on Men’s or Women’s teams will be considered for Mixed Open regardless of their preferred division/representative pathway (they will be communicated with before being added to the MXO squad to confirm their interest)

As at 30 September 2021, NSWTA released the following memo in relation to changes to ‘Regional Representation Eligibilty‘, it is the responsibility of all players to ensure they correctly qualify for Sydney Scorpions. Additionally all players need to adhere to the Sydney Scorpions Code of Conduct. If a players availability to trial changes after completing this form they should advise Scorpions via the following form bit.ly/ScorpsUnableToTrial
