Sydney Scorpions Executive & Committee would like to thank all of our players, coaches, managers, medical staff, parents and supporters for their performances on and off the field at the recent NTL at Coffs Harbour. Our Scorpions spirit lives on with another 5 titles won and appearances in a total of 7 finals. This year although having less teams and winning more titles, we somehow were equal with the South Queensland Sharks for the Golden Boot Award. That said congratulations to the Sharks a mighty permit that keeps performing at the top level. A huge well done to the NSW Scorpions Men’s Elite 8 team who had an excellent tournament going all the way to the final. Sam Brisby once again stamped his class on the tournament with the Player of the Series award. Our focus now turns to the NSWTA Junior Regionals which are held in Penrith on 18-19 April and then we have over 30 players and coaches set to represent Australia at the World Cup once again in Coffs Harbour commencing on 29 April, 2015. Special mention to the Touch Football Australia Event Staff led by Mark Spear. The playing fields at Coffs copped over 180mm of rain on Friday and to turn up Saturday with the facilities in such excellent condition was truly mind blowing. Photos from the tournament can be found under our Photo section as well as via our Instagram, Twitter & Facebook accounts.
Congratulations to the following Scorpions teams and players who were awarded Player of the Final and Player of the Series honours at the 2015 National Touch League.
